Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV reported excellent ling action, with anglers averaging 15 to 20 fish per person and high hooks reaching up to 40 ling. Fluke action is also beginning to improve, with more flatties starting to show in the mix.

Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV reported an outstanding week on the water, with anglers regularly limiting out on sea bass while enjoying excellent ling fishing. Most fishermen were boxing 10 to 20 ling per trip, while high-hook honors reached an impressive 60 ling for one angler. Plenty of fluke have also been keeping rods bent, although keeper-sized fish have remained harder to come by.
