“We are currently bottom fishing aboard the Miss Belmar Princess,” cited Capt. Al Shinn. “While we did not sail on Thursday and Friday the early week fishing was a nice mix of ling, a mix of short and keeper blackfish and some decent size cod,” he reported, while adding “We are waiting for the stripers to get closer to us and hopefully we will be able to change over to striper fishing in the next couple of weeks.”

Another boat that had to get through it CG inspection this week is the new Miss Belmar Princess. Capt. Al Shin also said the weather has been holding the boat back from getting her season started. “The weather gods sure have not been kind to us so far this spring and it’s time for a change,” Al added.
