Bottom fishing continues to be a mix of ling and increasing numbers of sea bass most that have to be returned said Capt. Al Shinn of the Miss Belmar Princess and Miss Belmar. Al told us he’s looking forward to Friday’s sea bass opener and hopefully water temps will come up a bit so we can see some better numbers of legal fish.

“We switched the boat back to bottom fishing,” reported Capt. Al Shinn of the Miss Belmar Princess and Miss Belmar. Al said a light crowd enjoyed a mix of tog, sea bass and ling with ling the dominate catches. He told us the boat will stay with the bottom fishing until the sea bass fishing opens up.
