Capt. Rich of the Nancy Ann in Orient, reports great striped bass fishing with many big fish to 30 pounds but enough slot size fish for a daily boat limit or pretty close. Porgy fishing has also been excellent with plenty of tasty filets for everyone aboard. The Nancy Ann IV still has days open for charter from the end of July through August. Concerning the open dates, you are missing some great fishing during those days as Capt. Rich and his son Capt. Rick do a splendid job of putting their clients over humpback sea bass in deep water during that time of the season. I have seen the duo in action and they do a great job. Porgy fishing is pretty good with many jumbos dominating the catches. Some bluefish to 10 pounds are also mixing in with the bass.
