Norma K III

Capt. Tom reported another productive week aboard the Norma K III, with steady fluke action and plenty of bent rods. Monday produced a consistent pick, while young anglers continued making unforgettable "first fish" memories. Tuesday featured nonstop action, with the keeper bite improving when the drift cooperated, and David O'Donnell claimed the pool with a 7.10-pound fluke. Heavy current made Wednesday morning challenging, but the afternoon turned red-hot with nonstop action and several limits. Thursday delivered another strong fluke bite, while Friday saw a decent morning pick before shorts dominated the afternoon. Friday night's trip added a fun mixed bag of 3-pound bluefish, ling, and sea bass, with larger bluefish following the boat. Saturday wrapped up the week with nonstop bites and a couple of fluke limits.

Capt. Tom said the Norma K III sailed Wednesday and managed a handful of quality fluke, including fish up to 5 pounds, despite less-than-ideal conditions. Strong currents and a fast drift made for a challenging day, with spurts of short fluke action that came and went throughout the trip. The bite improved Friday, with plenty of life throughout the day and the afternoon trip producing the best keeper action. Saturday saw no shortage of bites, as anglers sorted through loads of short fluke to put a respectable number of keepers in the box.
