Norma K III

Capt. Tom said the Norma K III is still finding plenty of life on the fluke grounds, with some sea bass mixed into the catch. Their night trips have also produced some great bluefish action, keeping anglers busy after the sun goes down. Of course, not every day has been in their favor, as challenging conditions have occasionally kept the fish tight-lipped and suffering from a serious case of lockjaw.

Capt. Tom said the Norma K III spent August putting anglers on fluke, along with a handful of sea bass. Some areas are holding considerably more life than others, making it important to stay mobile and find the productive grounds. Anglers managed to put together quite a few limits when conditions cooperated, proving that quality opportunities are available for those willing to make the moves. As September arrives, Capt. Tom emphasized that conditions will remain key. With the fall transition approaching, finding the right combination of water, structure, and active fish could be the difference between an average trip and a banner day on the water.
