An early week deep water offshore bottom fishing trip aboard the Ol’ Salty II before the weather hit put anglers into a good bite of sea bass to 5 pounds, triggerfish, ling and a few porgies. Capt. Nick Caruso said he too spent most of the week in port because of the winds and weather. A Saturday striper trip picked away at the bass. Nick said the boat has open dates in November for offshore bottom fishing and striped bass, so give him a call for available dates and info.
