I spoke with John Bullock over at Old School Outdoors in Ewing and he told me this past week saw big blue catfish high light the reports from the river from Trenton south. While the flathead fishing has slowed down there are still stripers being taken from the Trenton Bridges south. Carnegie Lake and Mercer Lake were the top spots mentioned for bass and crappie fishing locally. While trout fishing has slowed down in the canal there are plenty of channel cats being caught there, John said.

The word from John Bullock at Old School Outdoors in Ewing also told us the river is starting to change to its summer patterns. He mentioned some bug flathead and blue cats being caught and striped bass schoolies continue to be caught in the river from Trenton north to Lambertville. This past week was the last spring trout stocking for local waters, so get them while they last. Crappies and bass continue to be caught in local lakes and ponds. Lastly some snakeheads are being caught in the Trenton Marshes.
