We spoke with Tony from the Sports Port who said there were good reports of action along the canal at both ends with lots of fish to slots and overs hitting topwater lures and heavy jigs. There are stripers moving along the Hyannis shore and word that the squid bite has improved with nighttime action under the lights the best times to hook up. There are reports of scup moving in with good numbers reported around Succonnesset Shoal and Bishops and other rockpiles and along the jetties at the entrance to the harbors. They have worms and crabs and all the freshwater baits in stock as the trout and largemouth bass are still on the feed. We spoke with Amy who was in helping out with customers and she will be out hunting stripers in her own boat as time permits. Stop in and check out their shop.

We spoke with Tony from the Sports Port who said it’s been busy as customers are making the switch over from total freshwater to chasing schoolies and rumors of fish in the Canal and nearby harbors. Some people either caught or saw bass breaking in the area of the canal herring run on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. They are selling a lot of green crabs as some tog have been coming from Bishops and Clerks and a few docks and breakwaters inside Hyannis and the rockpile just outside the harbor.
