Sports Port

We spoke with Amy from the Sports Port who said some of her customers took part in the fantastic canal fishing this past week where bait was being driven ashore. The scup have finally moved in and they are big and here in good numbers. The black sea bass are out a bit further in deeper water which is where the keepers are holding. The shop also issues licenses and has a complete line of fresh and saltwater gear in stock.

We spoke with Amy from the Sports Port who said the fishing was great with good numbers of bigger sea bass in and around Succonnesset Shoals and the deeper waters of the sound. There were stripers moving up from Falmouth and some bluefish were caught along the jetties leading up to Falmouth. Barnstable Harbor has been producing stripers in the outer channel and some good action was had along the Brewster Flats up to the inside of Wellfleet Harbor. The Cotuit area has been producing stripers from shorts to slots and a few harbors from the Jetties to the inside harbor. Her customers were using Albie Snax and other soft plastics in the color Blurple which accounted for bass up to 35-inches.
