We spoke with Chris from the Sports Port who was totally upbeat about the quality of the saltwater fishing his customers have been experiencing. One of his customers, a 70-year old gent caught a 12-pound albie at Monomoy where other albies have been taken. The bones and blues have been blitzing from Osterville and Bass River along the Falmouth shoreline. Oyster Harbor has been giving up some small weakfish and schoolies. The freshwater fishing has been great with some very nice largemouth being caught. Stop in and look around they are open seven days a week.

We spoke with Nate from the Sports Port who said customers working Buzzards Bay were into blues and bonito on top and those working the canal were scoring with schoolies on topwater and metal lures. Scorton Creek and nearby areas were giving up some stripers larger than the slots and there were reports of kingfish being caught along the Nantucket sound shoreline from Bass River and Craigville Beach and on the Bay side there were more legal sea bass and some really big scup being caught. The fluke being caught were still mostly sublegal but a few customers scored with some that broke the 17.5-inch minimum size. Freshwater fishing continues to produce good numbers of bass and pickerel and a few jumbo yellow perch.
