Fluke, bonito, false albacore and bluefish were on the menu for anglers fishing with Two Rivers Charters this past week. Capt. Fletcher Chayes said anglers had to pick trough the short fish to get their keepers but most went home with fish. As to the albies, bluefish and bonito the fishing was excellent with anglers seeing some topwater action to go along with the jigging.

Fluke, bonito and false albacore were on the menu for anglers fishing with Two Rivers Charters. Capt. Fletcher Chayes said the bluefish, bonito and albie fishing was very good and the fluke fishing was decent. “With the opening of porgy fishing we will be doing some porgy trips in September, and we will also be considering doing some triggerfish trips as well,” he said.

While his favorite method of fishing is livelining bunker for trophy striped bass, he regularly targets bluefish, albies, fluke, sea bass and blackfish when in season. Capt. Chayes encourages regular and new customers alike to call for available dates and rates but emphasizes that April, May and June are the prime months for landing bass over 50 pounds.
