“We had a mix of fish this past week on all our trips,” said Capt. Fletcher Chayes of Two Rivers Charters. He said fluke, bluefish, bonito and some mahi were on the menu this past week. Fletcher said he is booking striper trips for the fall, so if you are looking to take on some linesiders give him a call.

“We had a good summer with August being some of the best fishing we had so far,” said Capt. Fletcher Chayes of Two Rivers Charters. He told us the midway point of August ushered in a real smorgasbord of fish. A most recent birthday party for Sean Herr, with Dillon Ryan, Reed, Will and Charley caught a mix of fluke, spot, croakers, sea bass and other fish. Fletcher said with all the baitfish around and the big variety of fish feeding on them, September should be a very interesting month.

Two Rivers Charters is a full-time New Jersey fishing charter business. Specialiizing in light tackle and fly fishing in Raritan Bay and the surrounding near-shore Atlantic waters. Owner, Capt. Fletcher Chayes is a master captain with over 40 years experience fishing local waters and has travelled all over the world in search of trophy gamefish. While his favorite method of fishing is livelining bunker for trophy striped bass, he regularly targets bluefish, albies, fluke, sea bass and blackfish when in season. Capt. Chayes encourages regular and new customers alike to call for available dates and rates but emphasizes that April, May and June are the prime months for landing bass over 50 pounds.
