This week produced some large sea bass for Capt. Carl with Westport River Outfitters who had knuckleheads in the plus 20-inch range. Leslie Kalinoski of Brewster took a large knucklehead that had the biggest knot we have seen so far this year. The skipper has been finding plenty of stripers both below and over the slot size and numerous bass within the slot limit. The blues moved in and Capt. Carl of Westport River Outfitters treated his parties to some great topwater action after they limited out on good-sized black sea bass. He also got into some great school stripers moving east toward Gooseberry then onto the canal. These fish were of a size we were missing from 18 to 25 inches.
