NEW YORK BOAT SHOW
The 2020 Progressive® Insurance New York Boat Show® will be docked at the Javits Center from Wednesday, January 22 through Sunday, January 26. On Saturday, January 25, you will have an opportunity to pick the brains of three outstanding anglers from our region. The three most recent winners of the Fisherman’s Dream Boat Challenge – Garrett Weir, Sam Dibner and Dave Wissemann will be at the Steiger Craft display (D-72) from 1 to 2 p.m., and at the Fisherman booth (252) from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to speak to three anglers who are at the top of their game, and willing to share some of the tactics that led to them coming out on top in the Dream Boat Challenge.
While you are there, you can boat hop and shop more than 350 boats ranging from center consoles and luxury yachts to family runabouts, plus thousands of new marine technologies, accessories and gear as you explore the benefits of fishing, cruising and simply disconnecting with family and friends on the water. If you are new to boating, chat with the experts on how to get started and which boat may be right for you as you experience five days of summer dreaming, interactive workshops and fun for the whole family.
Highlights include Kids’ Build-a-Boat: Beyond the fun of climbing aboard to play captain, little skippers will have boatloads of fun creating one-of-a-kind nautical masterpieces inspired by their time at the show. NYCRF FISHING FLEA MARKET
The New York Coalition for Recreational Fishing (NYCRF) Flea Market is back and will be held this Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Hibernia Hall in Babylon, NY. The show will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The flea market will feature new and used fishing products at excellent prices, providing an excellent opportunity to stock up on tackle and gear for the upcoming season. There will also be informative seminars conducted by local experts throughout the day. The Flea Market will have an improved raffle including a Van Staal VS250 reel, a guided charter for 2 with Bill Wetzel, a C&R custom surf bag, and more!
