EZ DOCK & THE TRAVIS MILLS FOUNDATION

During his recovery at the U.S. Army’s flagship hospital, Walter Reed, wounded warrior Travis Mills found a passion for inspiring fellow wounded servicemen and women. To carry on his passion, Travis Mills founded the Travis Mills Foundation, a nonprofit organization, formed to benefit and assist wounded and injured veterans and their families.

In 2017, the Michigan native and former Army 82nd Airborne staff sergeant founded a fully accessible lakeside lodge in Rome, Maine designed with amputees like him in mind. Thanks to Travis, fellow veterans who have all lost limbs while serving a grateful nation in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars are provided with a relaxing place to stay for a week, free-of-charge and in the company of veterans going through similar recoveries.

Check out how the folks from EZ Dock joined with Travis to help provide veterans on kayaks and canoes access to the lake through their “EZ Launch” system.
