The New York Sportfishing Federation will hold their 31st Annual Forum & Auction from Friday, February 14th through Sunday, February 16th at the Freeport Recreation Center located at 130 E. Merrick Road in Freeport (less than a half mile west of Exit M9W off the Meadowbrook Parkway).
Over 50 vendors are expected to man booths at the Freeport Recreation Center over President’s Day Weekend, with tackle shops, fishing clubs, charter and party boat captains, lure makers and outfitters in attendance. From surf to offshore and everything in between, the ‘Freeport Show’ is always the ‘can’t miss’ fishing event on Long Island.
The 2014 ‘how to’ and ‘where to’ fishing seminar line-up is bigger and better than ever, and kicks off on Saturday morning, February 15th just one hour after the doors open at 8 a.m. Two rooms – the Main and Room 101 – are dedicated to seminar action through Sunday afternoon, the 16th of February.
Check out the full line-up of seminars below, and be sure to check out the giant ‘auction’ on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with thousands of dollars worth of trips, tackle and gear going up for bid in the Main Room (including the queen of the show, a trip to Tanaku Lodge in Alaska!). The auction happens immediately after a special Van Staal ‘hands on’ workshop with White Water Outfitters at 1 p.m. – that all happens on Sunday!
