FISHING FOR DEALS AT FEBRUARY FLEA MARKETS - The Fisherman

FISHING FOR DEALS AT FEBRUARY FLEA MARKETS

On top of the boat shows later this month at Edison, Atlantic City and Oaks, PA; and in addition to the big Jersey Shore Surfcasters “Surf Day” event at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft on February 17, the February calendar of events in latest edition of The Fisherman Magazine is packed with fishing flea markets.

As you run through the following list and check off events close to home, keep in mind that The Fisherman will be manning a booth for the Raritan Bay Anglers Club’s February 3 event at Rutgers University, as well as the 20th Annual Palmyra Fire Department Fishing Tackle Flea Market on February 11 at the Charles Street School in Palmyra. There you’ll get your set of Star Rods pliers or dry bags for subscribing to 38 issues of The Fisherman!

Keep in mind too that most of the events offer door prizes with admission, so there’s always a chance of walking away with something good just for showing up. Often you’ll find seminars and special presentations; and not just fishing tackle but these shows often feature local charter and party boat captains opening their books to a fresh new season of fishing ahead.

One final thought; often these events provide an early bird entry for an additional cost, which allows an exclusive hour to browse the exhibit tables for that unique, one-of-a-kind item. To find out about early entry, directions or additional details, it’s best to call ahead where possible.
