Quick Snell Knot
Quick Snell Knot
Snelling a hook assures it will be attached firmly – and perfectly aligned – to the main line. This knot is exceptionally strong and, because it rarely ever slips or fails, many anglers favor it when targeting large or powerful fish.
With a 24-inch piece of line, form a large loop and pass end through eyelet of hook.
Coil the forward end of the loop around the standing line and the shank of the hook. Pull the forward line to cinch the coils and tighten.
Completed Quick Snell Knot.
