Weakfish – High-Low Rig

A popular choice when trying to pinpoint feeding activity, this rig allows anglers to present one bait tight to the bottom while a second offering rides slightly higher in the water column. Both hooks can offer the same type of bait, or two different baits can be used to see if the fish have a particular favorite. The height of either hook can be adjusted slightly up or down to increase or decrease the range in which baits will be presented. Traditionally, a large sandworm and a strip of squid are offered, but clam, shrimp, slender fish strips and even crab baits can be used with this rig.
