Get The Gift That Gives More Fishing Time

What keeps you away?

One sure fire way to cut a fishing trip short is being unprepared, and getting wet and cold as a result. Anyone who spends time out on the open water here in the Northeast knows what I’m talking about. The problem with fishing is that if you only went out on the blue bird days you’d be missing the good days, because often it’s those nasty days that trigger fish to bite. Safety always comes first, but sometimes, the ugliest weather leads to the best fishing.

Luckily, Grundén provides a fool-proof solution to not only enduring the bad days but making them some of the best days of fishing you can have. I know, I know, premium fishing apparel can be expensive, but if you want to fish with confidence and comfort this is not an area to skimp on quality and technology. Make the investment in the best fishing rain gear available.

It began nearly 100 years ago on the west coast of Sweden, in the small fishing village of Grundsund when Carl A. Grundén began producing waterproof oil skins to protect North Sea fishermen from the hostile weather that often accompanied their jobs. Today, some things have changed but Grundéns commitment to supplying and supporting commercial fishermen, sport fishing enthusiasts and bass anglers remains.  Their latest creation is the Gambler GORE-TEX Jacket and Bib, which just may be the best foul weather protection you can get.

“The Gambler is a next level GORE-TEX product. It’s designed with the unique needs of the professional and sport angler in mind, ensuring optimum freedom of movement, warmth and protection from the elements.”

As Grundéns’ flagship tournament angling set, the Gambler jacket and bib, are built to perform in the formable climate zone of the Northeast and beyond. Designed to optimize waterproofness, comfort, and mobility, both pieces feature rugged 100% nylon face fabric with an 80d 100% Nylon Face with GORE-TEX® C-Knit Backer. The jacket utilizes GORE-TEX TOPO Stretch across the shoulders and back for flexible mobility and a submersible shingled cuff design that keeps water out of the sleeves even when reaching into the water when landing or releasing a fish. It has a stow-away hood design for use in an open boat, reflective Grundéns Logos Safety Overlays for low light on-water visibility.

The bib has a stretch woven upper back suspender panel for mobility, dual zippered hand warmer pockets, and angled thigh pockets that are still accessible while seated on a casting pedestal. The jacket is available in two colors red orange as shown here, or Charcoal for $499.99 MSRP while the bib is available in one color for $479.99.
