Wednesday marks the official end of summer (Thursday is the first day of autumn). While many anglers look at fall as the best time of year for fishing action at the Jersey Shore, some of the top boat dealers in New Jersey view the autumn rush as high time to get active moving some this year’s inventory of fishing boats!
The local boating industry is geared up to move inventory this weekend at the 8th Annual Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo to take place at FirstEnergy Park, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws, September 23-25, 2016.
Organized by the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ), this popular event offers an outstanding array of hundreds of new and previously loved boats hosted by the state’s top marine retailers. The show will feature four parking lots full of hundreds of new boats including newly introduced 2017 models. Adding further value for the consumer will be a separate area devoted to clean, late model, previously loved boats offering special opportunities for the budget minded boater.
Show attendees will be able to board and thoroughly shop the wide variety of boats on sale, including family cruisers, express sport boats, center consoles, canyon runners, ski and pontoon boat as well as personal watercraft. Along with the boats representing nearly 70 different major and regional brands, a boater’s marketplace will be full of great deals for gear, accessories, marine equipment and services.
New Jersey offers amazing opportunities for boating so representatives from many marinas will be on hand as well for all your boating needs. The family friendly theme even includes attractions for young skippers in the popular Kids Cove, including Jenkinson’s touch tank, crafts, face painting, boating safety, Reclam the Bay, and on-field experiences, sponsored by the Lakewood BlueClaws and the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium.
"Last year’s show was one of the largest shows to date featuring over 300 new and pre-owned boats in over 130,000 square feet of FirstEnergy Park," stated Executive Director, Melissa Danko. “We are expecting yet another great show with new dealers and new boat lines joining in for this great venue. Show hours are Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You’ll find free and convenient on-site parking, a modest $4 admission charge per person, and children under 12 years old are free!
