From February 11 – 19, the 2017 Progressive Insurance New England Boat Show is packing the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center with more than 600 boats, the latest in marine innovation and the coolest gear for an epic summer on the water.
New at this year’s show is the giant demo pool which will offer top-notch fishing seminars and kayak demos in a giant, brand-new fiberglass pool offering a taste of summer & a chance for visitors to get on the water to test lures, rods and reels, plus the latest kayaks.
With Plexiglas side panels, visitors will get an underwater view to help make their lures irresistible. The tank will also host kayak demos, including the latest model from Old Town Canoes and Kayaks, the Predator PDL, a fishing machine with an all new pedal-drive.
Also brand new this year is a lineup of seminars and workshops for the serious fisherman – or anyone who wants to get started in angling. A large fish tank will be on hand for live demonstrations with help from Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans. Their local experts will offer hands-on seminars including Techniques for Catching Stripers, Family Friendly Saltwater Fishing, Fishing Nantucket Sound and much more at booth N14.
Also, The Fisherman staff will be manning The Fisherman Booth (#470) throughout the show and anyone taking out a new subscription, or renewing an existing one, will receive a pair of Star aluminum fishing pliers.
