JUNE FIRST TOURNAMENTS IN NEW JERSEY

Now that you’ve had a few days to find those fluke in Southern Ocean and Atlantic Counties, why not put that knowledge to the tournament test!

This Saturday, June 1, the 7th Annual RFA Bass River Classic will be held out of Viking Yachting Center on the Bass River, with tournament proceeds going to help support the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA) and the local PBA #295.

The captain’s meeting is Friday, May 31 starting at 6 p.m. at Breeze’s on the Bass River at Viking Yachting Center in New Gretna with a boat entry fee of $110. This year, the RFA Bass River Classic is offering up a shot at $50,000 for the biggest tournament entry over 11.5 pounds; plus, a bonus prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the RFA member catching the largest fluke of the tournament, presented by Yamaha.

Pick up an application at the Friday night captains meeting or visit one of the participating tournament sponsors including Scott’s Bait & Tackle, Viking Yachting Center, Absecon Bay Sportsman Center, Allen’s Dock, Chestnut Neck Boat Yard, or Munro’s Marina.
