Don’t miss your chance to test-cast the industry’s best surf rods at L.L.Bean’s waterfront center on beautiful Casco Bay. Special guest Crazy Alberto Knie, host of the new Tactical Anglers TV show and IGFA world record line class holder, will be conducting seminars and offering advice for catching the striper of a lifetime. Ryan Smith from RM Smith Custom Plugs will have an assortment of plugs available for purchase in a variety of styles and colors.

10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Surf Rod Test-Casting: Lower Flying Point Paddling Center
Join industry experts from St. Croix, Shimano, Daiwa and L.L.Bean on the water to test-cast a variety of the best surf rods on the market today. Shimano Pro staffer Roy Leyva will be on site to explain the benefits of Shimano’s new Long-Cast System. A free shuttle service will be available at our flagship campus to take you to and from this event.
2 p.m.: Seminar with Crazy Alberto Knie: Hunting & Fishing Store
Striper fishing legend Alberto Knie will share tips and expert know-how on hunting and catching trophy-sized striped bass, based on his many years of experience. He will also discuss how to locate fish and be more consistent when searching for the sometimes-elusive striper.

L.L.Bean’s own Ken Estes will be displaying some of his own work and providing helpful information about what it takes to get started in the art of building your own wooden plugs.

Shimano Pro Staff will explain and demonstrate the benefits and features of Shimano’s new innovative Long-Cast System.
