How will you spend Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day? As part of the Grow Boating initiative sweeping the nation some great events are planned.
Saturday, June 8, kicks off Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day, a nationwide celebration of boating being hosted at marinas around the country.
Hundreds of marinas are hosting free events where visitors can be immersed in the boating lifestyle with activities ranging from on-water demos, boat rides, activities for the kids, live music, contests, regattas, fishing tournaments, hands-on training and boater education, plus safety and skills seminars.
Local events are happening next Saturday – are you taking part in one in your area? In New Jersey Belmar, Green Cove, Irwin Marine, Marine Max of Lake Hopatcong, and Ocean Gate Yacht Sales are participating. In Delaware, Delaware City Marina is participating and in Maryland Bohemia Vista and Hack’s Point, Dennis Point Marina and Campground, Mears Point, Toms Landing, Topaz Sailing, Sea Tow and Sassafras Harbor will all take part. Pennsylvania is also represented with Lake Wallenpuapack Yacht Club and Penns Landing in Philadelphia planning some great fun.
