NJ SALTWATER FISHING EXPO RETURNS TO EDISON MARCH 14-16

The New Jersey Saltwater Fishing Expo returns to the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 14-16.  The east’s premier saltwater fishing event, Saltwater Fishing Expo is the ideal one-stop-shop for anglers of all abilities to upgrade equipment, learn techniques from fishing experts and kick off the fishing season.

The annual three-day event features over 200 exhibitors — including top fishing manufacturers and local retailers — showcasing the newest saltwater fishing products, boats, kayaks, plus charters and outfitter bookings for saltwater fishing and travel locally or internationally. Exhibitors include specialty fishing gear manufacturers you won’t typically see in the big box stores and tackle retail shops. The expo is known for its fishing seminars, featuring regional and nationally recognized industry experts covering a wide range of topics.

Exhibitors and speakers cover the entire sport of saltwater fishing – surfcasting and inshore fishing, to offshore and canyon fishing, and everything in between.  Whether fishing for tuna, striped bass, fluke, blackfish, and more attendees will find products and seminars to help make 2025 their best fishing season yet.

Families can enjoy an array of activities for all ages, including trying their hand at an ultra-realistic fishing simulator; learning the basics of fly casting at the 50-foot Casting Pond; experiencing the fun of sport fishing at the Trout Pond, a catch-and-release fishing pond filled with over 500 pounds of trout; and mining for gems.

“We have a great show planned, and there’s no better place to stock up on the latest fishing gear and shop deals on thousands of products ahead of the saltwater angling season,” said Tod Alberto, Show Manager. “Kicking off the show with our new Surf Friday event is great for the surfcasters, and all weekend we have seminars geared to all species and techniques.”

Alberto said seminars begin on Friday afternoon at 12:30 with Century Rod’s Ryan White presenting a casting for distance seminar.  He’s followed by highly regarded surfcasters Alberto Knie, Shell E Caris, John Skinner, Jimmy Fee and Bill Wetzel.  At 6:30 on Friday Jim Hutchinson from The Fisherman Magazine will moderate a Q&A session with the presenters where one lucky attendee will walk away with a surfcasting package valued at over $2500 including Century Rod, Van Staal Reel, J Braid line, Tactical Anglers terminal tackle pack.

Saturday always sees big crowds at the Saltwater Fishing Expo, while Sunday is Family Day with all children 11 and under receiving free admission when accompanied by a paying adult, and the first 100 will receive a free Daiwa rod and reel combo upon entry. “With all the incredible fishing gear, seminars, and activities on the schedule for this year’s show, there is something for anglers of all ages and skill levels,” Alberto noted, adding that there’s also a daily giveaway where one winner per day will receive a pair of Smith Optics Sunglasses and a Daiwa BG4000 Reel.

The Fisherman Magazine crew will be at booth 461 with 500 sets of Danco pliers for the first 500 new or renewing 1-year subscriptions; we’ve been selling out on this incredible premium from Danco at many of our shows this year, so be sure to get to our booth early to be one of the first 500 subscribers to walk away with a set of Danco pliers.  Plus, all new, renewed or extended subscriptions to The Fisherman Magazine at the show will qualify you for a free bag of Fishbites (show your subscription receipt at the Fishbites Booth #617).

Show hours are from noon until 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
