NY/NJ SHOW 2022 SEASON GETS UNDERWAY THIS WEEKEND

Capt. Dave Marciano of Wicked Tuna will be holding seminars this weekend at the Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo, which is sponsored in part by The Fisherman Magazine.

On January 8 and 9 at the Wildwood’s Convention Center, come out and join Capt. Dave Marciano from Wicked Tuna who will have Hard Merch in his booth at the Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo.  Capt. Dave will join dozens of other vendors at the Wildwood’s Convention Center right along the boardwalk in Wildwood (indoors of course!)

“We are extremely excited to be bringing you the first fishing and boating expo in New Jersey since 2020,” said Gerard Vessels from the Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo, adding “We are so happy to announce that we are back for 2022.”

The show features a number of boat dealers, South Jersey marine and tackle businesses, plug and lure builders, charter captains and service providers.  In addition to the booth displays, admission to the show will also allow you to check out the lineup of seminars which will include a short presentation and Q&A on Saturday with Capt. Dave Marciano at 2 p.m. and again on Sunday at 12 noon.

South Jersey’s fishing and boat expo returns to the 35,000-square foot Wildwood’s Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 8, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 9.  For show information go to www.fishingexpowildwood.com.

For folks in North Jersey, while the Garden State Outdoor Sports Show has been postponed for the weekend ahead, the he Staten Island Tuna Club (SITC) will host their annual Inshore-Offshore Fishing Expo and Flea Market on Saturday, January 8 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Mt. Loretto CYO building at 6581 Hylan Boulevard on Staten Island.

Entry fee is just $5 for adults, with children under 13 admitted free.  There will be door prizes and raffles, including a Yeti cooler raffle.  In addition to inshore and offshore products available from vendors, informative “how to” seminars are also being presented by Tony Maja Products at 9 a.m. (striped bass) followed by Capt. Jim Freda of Shore Catch Sport Fishing at 10 a.m. (inshore tuna) and Capt. Brian Rice of Jersey Devil Sportfishing at 11 a.m. (offshore small boat fishing).
