This week’s report from Mike at Red Top Sporting Goods in Buzzards Bay was a little more encouraging than last week’s. He heard of decent largemouth bassin’ at several sites including Fresh Pond in the Manomet section of Plymouth, the ponds in Falmouth, and a pond in the Sandwich area, the name of which he could not recall, but it was not Peters Pond. Most reports mentioned swimbaits and small Flukes. The improved action had Mike thinking that interest in sweetwater angling is beginning to “heat up.” Many local anglers are also looking forward to fall trout stocking.
