REWARD OFFERED FOR STOLEN NJ BOAT - The Fisherman

REWARD OFFERED FOR STOLEN NJ BOAT

Help catch a thief and hopefully return a precious boat to its rightful family, and you could spend a day offshore fishing for tuna aboard Mushin this season for free.

Sometime between Tuesday, February 16th at 11 p.m. and Wednesday, February 17th at 7:45 a.m., a boat and trailer belonging to Capt. Alan Lee of the charter boat Mushin was stolen from its location at Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton (Mercer County) in New Jersey.

Capt. Alan is hoping Fisherman readers can help him track her down.

“This is a highly-customized/refurbished 1972 Boston Whaler 13-footer with 2012 Honda 30 hp with console steering (not tiller steer), with lettering Mini-Mushin on the side,” said Lee. “Boat is white inside and outside (differs from most "stock" Whalers).”

The boat registration is NJ 4347CP, and the trailer registration is NJ TKC82Y.

While local police are investigating the theft and looking to track down the Mercer County boat thief, Capt. Alan said any help is appreciated in helping see this special boat returned.

“This boat has special meaning to me, as this was a father-daughter project, and my daughter and I took over 6 months to refurbish the boat to pristine condition,” he said.

“As a token of my appreciation to the person with information leading to her return, I would reward that person with a free spot on an open boat canyon trip this season,” the Mushin skipper said, adding that folks with any leads or who may have seen the unique Mini-Mushin in recent days can call him directly at 609-731-3742, or contact the Hamilton Township police department at 609-581-4000.
