SALTWATER FISHING EXPO, RAHWAY & THE ORIGINAL PLUG SHOW

Last held at the Convention Center in Asbury Park on March 8, 2020, the Asbury Park Fishing Club’s “original plug show” will move across the street to the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel this Sunday, March 20.

After a two-year absence due to COVID, the Saltwater Fishing Expo returns to the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 18-20.  The northeast’s premier saltwater fishing event, this unique three-day event will showcase more than 200 exhibitors selling thousands of saltwater fishing products, from new boats and kayaks to an array of accessories including fishing rods, reels and lures.

Check out the full lineup of free daily seminars lead by nationally and locally recognized experts.

Look for The Fisherman booth #462 as soon as you walk into the hall, and get there early in the day to take advantage of our giveaways with your new or renewed subscription, a package of 9/0 Addya circle hooks and one package of Fishbites FightClub lures.

Show hours are Friday noon until 8 p.m., Saturday is 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Sunday is 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Adult admission is $15 per person, kids ages 6-11 pay $3, while children 5 and under are admitted free. On Saturday, March 19, the 26th Annual Rahway Spring Fishing Flea Market will be held at St Thomas Church Hall at 1400 St Georges Avenue in Rahway, NJ. Show hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A wide variety of salt and fresh water fishing tackle will be on display for anglers looking for great buys. New, used, antique, custom fishing and boating items will be available to all.

Door prizes will be given away every half hour which include-rods, reels, tackle and much more, with food and refreshments sponsored by St. Thomas Holy Name Society. Also on Sunday, March 20, the Asbury Park Fishing Club will hold its 29th Annual Indoor Fishing Flea Market from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at a new location this year, across the street from Convention Hall at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel.  Hailed as “the original plug show” – hosted by the oldest saltwater fishing club the United States, proudly since 1889 – the Asbury Park show features some the very best plug makers from all along the Striper Coast.  In addition to a great selection of custom-made plugs, you can also expect well over 100 tables of new, used, antique and collectable fishing tackle and gear from the area’s leading tackle dealers – all with great deals.
