Black Hall Outfitters, located at 132 Shore Road in Old Lyme, CT, will be hosting the second annual Fluke-Fest, a 2-day fluke fishing tournament on June 24-25. The event features both a Big Boat well as a Kayak division. All anglers must be entered and paid in by 6 am June 24 to be eligible. All entries are made at the.
The Big Boat division competitors will be rallying for top prize of the Cash Calcutta with the single heaviest fish taking it all. The Kayak division anglers will be competing for a 2017 Old Town Loon Angler 106 donated by Old Town Kayaks with a retail value of $999.95. There will be runner-up prizes provided by tournament sponsors including Costa Sunglasses, The Fisherman Magazine, Plum Island Baits, Tsunami Tackle, Stormr Gear and others.
Any fish to be considered for entry MUST be weighed-in at Black Hall Outfitters (132 Shore Road in Old Lyme), no later than 4pm each day. There will be an official scale present and all fish will be inspected by the judging committee to be termed eligible and caught that day. All fish will also be gutted prior to weigh-in. The heaviest fish of the two days in both categories takes top prizes.
On Sunday there will be a huge awards ceremony at the shop on the banks of the beautiful Black Hall River which includes live music, a cook-out, and prize ceremony. This is sure to be a great time and fun by all.
