The Fisherman Magazine’s Annual Surf Fishing Show and Seminar is incorporating inshore fishing into the program this year. Many surf fishermen engage in some form of inshore fishing over the course of the season, and many other anglers dedicate much of their fishing effort to species like striped bass, bluefish, fluke, sea bass, blackfish, weakfish, false albacore and porgies. The show is sure to satisfy the interests of the most dedicated surf and inshore anglers.
It will take place Wednesday night, September 12 at the Huntington Hilton (quarter mile south of the LIE on Route 110) (598 Broadhollow Rd., Melville, NY). More than 75 surf and inshore related tackle manufacturers and retailers will be represented, with special deals from many of the best tackle shops and tackle vendors in the region.
The first 600 attendees will go home with goody bags made up of an assortment of tackle items, and every attendee receives a free chance to a raffle featuring great surf and inshore fishing related prizes, including rods, reels and accessories from manufacturers like Van Staal, Tsunami, St. Croix, Century, Star Rods, Daiwa, Korkers, Shimano, AquaSkinz and many others. Seminars covering both surf and inshore fishing will help sharpen your skills for the upcoming fall season.
The show is a great opportunity to stock up on your favorite lures and rigs, and any accessories you’ll need for the fall striped bass run. It will also be a great opportunity to check out some of the newest products unveiled at this year’s ICAST Show in Orlando. Show doors open at 6 p.m. and the presentations get underway at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 16 and under.
