Black Hall Outfitters, with two locations in Connecticut in Westbrook and Old Lyme, is throwing down the gauntlet with head-to-head competition between the yak and boat anglers in this year’s annual Tog-Tober Tournament! It is a battle to decide the King of the TOG!.The 2019 champion will be crowned by the heaviest 3-fish bag of the weekend. Also new this year is the Big Fish CALCUTTA for heaviest fish of the tournament. There will also be prizes for heaviest fish of the day Saturday and Sunday. The raffle is shaping up to be the best yet with gear from Tsunami, Accurate, Costa, Kenyon Grills, Old Town, The Fisherman Magazine and others with more added daily.
The tournament kicks-off on Friday, October 11 at 5 PM at the Westbrook shop (362 Boston Post Road) and is mandatory for participants of the Calcuttas. Fishing begins on Saturday, October 12, at 5 AM. The first 50 entries will receive a captains bag and free green crabs, so be sure to sign up early! Weigh-in on Saturday is at 4 PM, and the final weigh-in will be at 3 PM on Sunday in Westbrook. The tournament will be followed by a BBQ, awards ceremony and raffle.
