The United States Power Squadrons (USPS) District 3—America’s Boating Club serving Long Island—has released its latest lineup of safe boating courses, seminars and advanced classes for late 2025 and early 2026. As one of the region’s leading boating-education organizations since 1914, USPS continues its mission of promoting “Safe Boating through Education,” offering accessible and affordable instruction for recreational boaters of every skill level.
District 3 includes local squadrons across the Island, including Bayside, Captree, Great South Bay, Hempstead Bay, Jones Beach, Moriches Bay, Neptune, Old Field Point, Oyster Bay, Patchogue Bay, Peconic Bay, Port Washington, Sewanhaka, Smithtown Bay and South Shore. Together, these squadrons host a year-round calendar of classes covering the fundamentals of safe boating, engine maintenance, electronic navigation, seamanship, and a wide range of single-evening seminars aimed at building practical on-the-water knowledge.
