Not necessarily a “new product” for ’25, but more like a new “bucket list” item to check off your list in 2026. “You ask anyone what their bucket list resort is, the number one is always Tropic Star Lodge,” says popular television host Bill Boyce. While walking the floor of the ICAST show this past summer, The Fisherman’s Jim Hutchinson had a chance to speak with Bill about Tropic Star Lodge in Panama and the record setting marlin bite out of Piñas Bay, Panama during the ’25 season. “In the 60-year history of that lodge, probably the most legendary sportfishing lodge in the world,” Boyce told us, while describing the various fishing options from billfish to tuna, along with the accommodations at the legendary Tropic Star Lodge in Panama.
