New Jersey & Delaware Bay - Delaware, Maryland & Chesapeake Bay Fishing Reports
New Jersey & Delaware Bay Video Fishing Forecast September 10th, 2026

New Jersey – September Options & Transitions (9/10/26) And so begins 10 consecutive months of porgy fishing in New Jersey, as the official opening of scup on 9/1 carries through June of next year with a 10-inch minimum size and 30 fish bag limit. Fluke season in New Jersey is quickly coming to an end as well come 9/25, while the black sea bass bag limit goes to 10 fish on 9/23. We lead the week off discussing the New Jersey Marine Fisheries Council meeting on 9/10 and menhaden reduction hearings starting 9/15, before jumping into local inshore action on out to the offshore grounds with our weekly intel from Canyon Runner. Along with those inshore porgies, weakfish seem to have made a big showing this month, adding nicely to the mix of fluke, sheepshead, croakers and bluefish. In the surf look for split-tails and speedsters, and don’t forget about the outstanding freshwater action to be found throughout the tristate region. A lot of dates to discuss in this week’s full video fishing forecast, including upcoming events this 9/12-9/13 weekend ahead, while we also take a moment to reflect upon 9/11 to honor those lives lost, on the day of, and since that horrific attack 25 years ago.
