Field editor Eric Burnley spoke with Steve from Smith Bait in Leipsic heading into the weekend, reporting that fishing has been really slow due to the windy and cold weather. The only action he'd heard about was at the Port Mahon Pier where anglers using bloodworms are catching a few small striped bass.

Steve at Smith Bait reports that anglers are finding white perch and small stripers on bloodworms from the fishing pier at Woodland Beach and Port Mahon, with a few of the stripers in the 28- to 31-inch slot.
