New Jersey & Delaware Bay Video Fishing Forecast May 2, 2024
NJ Fluke Kickoff, Trophy Bluefin News & Jersey Steelhead Just a week past April's full moon, a lunar event that prompted a bluefish and bluefin invasion along the Jersey Shore, but also triggered one local cinderworm spawn which in turn produced a very surprising catch this week. So, ever seen or heard of a New Jersey steelhead trout? We’ve got details on the May 16th StriperQuest event on the Raritan Bay, the latest reports on bluefish, weakfish, black drum and trophy bluefin (which we just learned will shut down – the over 73s anyway – as of May 2). Of course, the big news this week is the start of New Jersey’s summer flounder season on Saturday, May 4th. There’s a bit of a buzz in the air at the Jersey Shore about fluke, and using science as a guide, the back bays will be the place to be this Saturday morning. Get the latest video fishing forecast for New Jersey, Delaware Bay as we head into the first weekend of May, 2024.

Tog fishing was a slow pick from the Indian River Inlet, the Outer Wall and ocean structure. A few flounder were caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal and the Back Bays.
