The Yacht Club of Stone Harbor Marlin Tournament has been an annual tradition for over 55 years; and despite the impacts of COVID-19 and inability to host the event at the Yacht Club as usual in 2020, the event was still held with record turnout and record catches! “This year we would like to once again welcome you to participate in the 55th Annual Marlin Invitational Tournament, which will be held Thursday, July 22nd through Saturday, July 24th,” tournament committee member Jamie Diller, adding that they hope to accommodate all those who express interest to fish the Stone Harbor marlin tournament again in 2021.
This year’s event will be held poolside at Canyon Club Resort Marina, including Captains Meeting and Awards. “After each fish day we have a meat fish weigh in, as well as cocktails, music and dinner for participants,” Diller said, adding “We also encourage you to come dock with us at Canyon Club for the tournament days if you are not there already.” Tournament anglers in this year’s event will be fishing out of Cape May Inlet, and organizers are expecting another great turnout.
