The 77th Annual Long Beach Island Fishing Club Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 4 along the beaches of Long Beach Island. The LBI club’s “World Series of Surf Fishing” offers terrific prizes, raffles and of course their first-class lunch for our guests which is always prepared and cooked on premises by their fantastic chefs and kitchen crew.
Registrations for teams and individuals gets underway at 5:30 a.m. at the Long Beach Island Fishing Club at 6 E. Cape May Avenue in Harvey Cedars (parking on-site or a block north at Harvey Cedars, Sunset Park where the water tower is located). At the 6:30 a.m. conclusion of registration, session one fishing runs from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., with session two going from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch and awards will follow back at the Long Beach Island Fishing Club.
The cost for entry is $20 for individuals, $100 for a team of six anglers. Individuals will be grouped into six-person teams for position and compete as individuals for prizes/awards for largest and most fish. Buggy permits are not required that day for the tournament, and anglers may drive on or walk into their positions.
