On Saturday, June 12, at 6 a.m., 49 teams sprinted offshore during a shotgun start for the 7th Annual Pt. Lookout Shark Tournament supporting Waterfront Warriors. In total, 10 sharks were weighed-in during the tournament, as well as three bluefin tuna (a new category this year). The shark catches included nine threshers and one mako. When the smoke cleared at the 6 p.m. weigh-in deadline at Ted’s Fishing Station, four teams landed atop the leaderboard. 1st Place: Reel Games 209-pound thresher; 2nd Place: Mar-Ro-Jo 196-pound thresher; 3rd Place: The Black Pearl 191.1-pound thresher; Tuna Winner: Yeah Bro 25.6-pound bluefin.
Other notable catches included: Ella Marie, 164.9-pound thresher; Fighting Irish, 155.9-pound thresher; Indulgence, 153-pound mako; and Four Bells, 151.3-pound thresher. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all the teams who participated and supported our wounded veterans.
