ASA Elects Board Of Directors

The American Sportfishing Association announced that it elected four new board members. They will fill two at-large seats and two regional positions on the board. The three-year terms begin Oct. 1.

“I congratulate Diane Bristol and Matt Jensen on being reelected to the board of directors and welcome John Johnson and Doug Lasko to their first terms on the board,” ASA president Glenn Hughes said in a statement. “I look forward to working with them and thank the entire board for their time and service to the industry, and to the greater recreational fishing community.”

Bristol is vice president of culture and community at Simms Fishing Products and has been with the company 30 years. Jensen is vice president of marketing at Rapala USA and has been with the company 19 years. Johnson works as executive vice president and sales and chief revenue officer for Pitman Creek Wholesale’s southeast region. Lasko started with Okuma Fishing Tackle in 1995 and has been at the helm of the company’s west region since 2005. He is also chair of ASA’s saltwater west committee.
