The Association of Surf Angling Clubs (ASAC) cordially invites surfcasters to attend the 57th Annual H.W. Shaner Surf Fishing Tournament on Saturday, September 11. Sponsored by ASAC, the tournament will be a team and individual event on the beach at Avalon.
Due to the Delta Variant of Covid-19 tournament organizers will continue the same protocols in place from the spring tournaments; as such pre-registration is required (walk up registration on day of tournament will not be allowed).
Entry fee is $60 for teams and $15 for individuals. Team captain registration is from 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. at the Avalon Recreation Center Parking Lot. Individual Anglers will be notified of their fishing positions Friday evening. First position fishing will run from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. with the second position from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
