Become A Hooked On Fishing Team Leader

Are you involved with an organization interested in getting youth fishing? Then you should register to attend the Hooked on Fishing Team Leader Training.

This training is intended for adults interested in leading and/or assisting with a youth fishing team as part of NJDEP Fish & Wildlife’s Hooked on Fishing program. All meals, lodging and equipment are provided.

The Hooked on Fishing program partners with schools, community and faith based organizations to establish youth fishing teams. Teams are led by an adult(s) who dedicates their time, skills and energy to implement the program. This training is to prepare those interested in leading youth anglers in the program, from beginning to end.

The next leadership training event will be held from April 26-28 at the Lighthouse Center for Natural Resource Education at 7th Street and Navajo Drive in Waretown, NJ.   Participants will arrive Friday, April 26 by 6:30 p.m. and depart Sunday, April 28 at around 4 p.m.  Only those able to attend the full session should register.
