Celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend in the Central Jersey surf with the 15th Annual Surf Turkey Tournament from November 25-28. Presented by Charlie’s Bait and Tackle in Normandy Beach, this year’s surfcasters only tournament is catch and release, and the cash prizes are for first and second longest striped bass, and also a five fish stringer.
The Surf Turkey tournament will kick off at 5 a.m. on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving and runs through Saturday, November 28 at 5 p.m. The fishing boundaries are from the south jetty of the Manasquan Inlet to the north jetty at Barnegat Inlet. Tournament entry fee is $45 with at least $2,000 guaranteed to be awarded for longest single striped of the event. Other awards will be given at the awards – courtesy of various sponsors – at the awards on Saturday night at Used to Be’s Island Eatery in Mantoloking.
