Fishing & Hunting Shows Return For 2022 With Doubleheader In January

While the COVID-19 pandemic took most of the wind out of the show sails into 2021, it’s looking like our tristate region is bouncing back big time in 2022, with two shows in particular during the first full week of January.

First up in the North Jersey is the Garden State Outdoor Sports Show which once again welcomes the return of the tackle time pavilion, expanded hunting & fishing pavilion and the always popular NJDEP deer classic.  The 38th anniversary event will also feature Pro Staff Fishing Demonstrations on the world famous Hawg Trough, a 5,000-gallon aquarium.

The Garden State Outdoor Sports Show will be held at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center (Raritan Center Expo Hall) at 97 Sunfield Avenue in Edison from January 6th through 9th.  Show hours are Thursday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Schedule your time appropriately as there will be four days of seminars, multiple entertainment events; starting with the spectacular Chics with Axes, kids zone, 3D archery tournament, endless shopping and much more.  Show promoters are expecting the latest boats, outboards, RVs, powersports, fishing tackle, and hunting gear all featured on the expo floor.

Discount tickets will be offered online at gsoss.com.

For those in South Jersey looking to stay closer to home, you also have the Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo that same weekend, January 8th and 9th, at the Wildwood, NJ Convention Center.   Show hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Over 35,000 square feet of indoor display area, with boats on display for you to climb aboard, feel and purchase along with 80 booth vendors with everything you will need to make the 2022 fishing and boating season a success!

Plus, a special guest at this year’s Wildwood Fishing & Boating Expo is Capt. Dave Marciano from Wicked Tuna who will be on hand for the duration of the event.  In addition to his booth, Capt. Dave will be doing a short seminar and Q&A to follow on both Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon.
