This Saturday, June 13, don’t miss the 3rd Annual Slack Tide Flounder Pounder Tournament presented by Slack Tide Brewing Company and Boulevard Bait & Tackle in Ocean View. The captains meeting is Friday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Slack Tide Brewing at 1879 Route 9 in Clermont. That’s also location of the awards ceremony on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. following the tournament.
Tournament boundaries are from the back bay of Great Egg inlet (Ocean City Longport Bridge) south to the back bay of Cape May. It’s lines in at 6 a.m., with lines out at 4 p.m. Entry is $150 per boat, with 70% of the purse to first place, 30% to second and special prizes courtesy of Boulevard Bait and Tackle and various sponsors for third.
Monies raised through the tournament will help support the New Jersey Artificial Reef program and new deployments through the Strathmere Fishing & Environmental Club at Townsend Inlet reef site this year.
