“Historic Winter Storms Of New Jersey” Out In Paperback

newsLooking for a little local reading this holiday season?  A new book called Historic Winter Storms of New Jersey authored by Don Colgan has just been published by Arcadia Publishing, The History Press. The book features 16 of the most impactful, destructive and in some instances catastrophic winter storms ever to visit New Jersey.

“It is the culmination of a lifelong ambition to author a book,” said Colgan who has previously authored a number of article in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay edition of The Fisherman.  “Since I retired last March I was able to devote considerable time towards finalizing it,” Colgan added, describing how his book starts with the iconic Blizzard of March in 1888, right up through the Great Blizzard of 2016.

“This is a book of stories, from Cape May to Sea Isle City, Morristown to High Point, told by people who lived through these storms,” Colgan said.  The 192-page book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble online, or you can order a copy for $24.95 through arcadiapublishing.com.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Colgan on local tour in support of Historic Winter Storms of New Jersey, including an upcoming appearance on the Joe & Joe Weather Show hosted by veteran meteorologists Joe Cioffi and Joe Rao available on YouTube and Spotify.
