In Loving Memory Of Chris Graff, A Dedicated Angler. - The Fisherman

In Loving Memory Of Chris Graff, A Dedicated Angler.

Chris was as dedicated to the water as any man can be. He spent countless hours surveying, mapping, and planning in order to make his time spent fishing worthwhile. When Chris stumbled upon the productive spots he would so tirelessly research, he would nickname them “The Grail” or “Serenity”, to mention a few.

Chris would humbly share the information and experience he gained from fishing Long Island for more than six decades. He would share the highs and lows, and the excitements and the let downs that every surfcaster experiences.

The philosopher Henry Thoreau once said “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” This applied true to Chris, as he would often take immense joy in watching the sunrise over a body of water. It was a common practice to share sunrise pictures with Chris after a morning of no luck fishing and get a reply stating his gratitude for the beautiful morning daybreak.

The fishing community will mourn the loss of a true gentleman. We’ll see you in the next sunrise Chris. –G. Baldan (Lurewalker Fishing)
