The problem is they’re not exactly tough enough for the ride, especially while boating and fishing. I have cases for both my iPhone 5 and my iPad. Four other staffers of The Fisherman also have the iPhone 4 with LifeProof cases and have all been impressed by its benefits. This case is very similar to the iPad case design which seals the edge of the glass screen with a rubberized gasket, leaving the surface of the glass exposed as Apple intended it rather than covered by a scratch protective film such as with the LifeProof "Fre" cases.
