New York’s Commercial Striped Bass Tag Program Public Meetings

DEC Division of Marine Resources will hold three public meetings to discuss upcoming changes to New York’s Commercial Striped Bass Tag program.  These meetings aim to give the public an opportunity to ask questions and provide input prior to the Division formally proposing a regulatory change via the Department of State. The proposed rulemaking will amend regulations to allow transfer of commercial striped bass tags between Striped Bass Commercial Harvester license holders.

These meetings will include a review of the discussions from the Marine Resource Advisory Council (MRAC) working group, the regulatory language changes to be made by the Department, and the logistics of the program.

The meetings will be held at the following locations:

Once formally proposed with Department of State, an official public comment period will commence as normal.
