With ice fishing running ‘full steam ahead’ this year, NOAA Weather put together a simple chart to inform all of us that enjoy a day on the ice, how to do enjoy it safely. Anglers, skaters and all manner of vehicles fall through the ice every year because people were either ill-informed about how much ice was needed to support their activities or failed to check ice thickness. The accompanying chart will help you ensure a safe and enjoyable winter season on the ice.
