Melinda Farmer fished fresh bunker chunks in the surf at Rockaway Beach and landed this 32-inch bluefish. Her husband Kevin also had a 34-incher during the trip and they even had a 19-1/2-keeper fluke that was released. This 30-pound redfish was caught by Alex Pljakic along the central South Shore of Long Island while fishing a bunker chunk after dark during the beginning of June. This has been one of several redfish catches – and from the surf to boot in the area within the last month. Glenn Passarelli was able to get out on the east end of Long Island to do some surf fishing and by the end of the night, scored with this slot stripers on a swimming plug.
