Tom Godfrey enjoyed Father’s Day fishing behind LBI with his wife and three boys, catching 60 fluke and keeping four, with Thomas, Jr. getting the 24-1/2-inch “pool winner.”

In early July, 11-year-old TJ Nelson bucktailed this 5-pound fluke off Shrewsbury while fishing with his father. The latest reports show big fluke are on the feed this month in the deeper waters and sticky bottom.

Christian Gresko and his buddies caught their three-man limit of summer flounder over the Fourth of July weekend by 11:30 a.m., noting “Hot bait was sea robin and a bucktail.”

In late June, Grace Mittenzwei ran her 18 Boston Whaler Dauntless from Chadwick Beach Island to the mouth of the Point Pleasant Canal for this 26-inch fluke on a high-low rig tipped with 4-inch spearing.

James Turner got his personal best fluke this season, an 8-pound, 26-inch rug in the surf at Spring Lake in June 8 on a 7-1/2-foot Tsunami Forged rod with 3000 Saltx 2 reel using bucktail with 5-inch Gulp fire tiger jerk shad teaser.
